TONY VANCE has said it is 'imperative' for his Green Lions team to stay at Footes Lane long term.

While this week's discussions with the Football Association over the future use of Footes Lane were 'positive', according to Guernsey FC chairman Steve Dewsnip, the club's head coach has spoken of his and his team's love of the Footes Lane atmosphere and would be loath to lose that buzz.

'The changing rooms are first class and you get the feel of a really big-game atmosphere when you are in the tunnel. Now, that's not achievable anywhere else in Guernsey.'

Vance hopes the FA do not make it impossible for the club to continue at 'The Lane' and its comforts of the Garenne Stand.
