THE second of British Showjumping Guernsey's peak season shows opened to glorious sunshine recently at the club's Chemin Le Roi grounds.

Competitors took part in the two-day jumping event in the main grass arena, which stood up well to some very wet conditions on the second day.

Sarah Jackson, with two rides on Alley Oop and Killernan Boy, once again proved her dominance in the lower-height senior classes claiming five wins over the show, which was sufficient for her to scoop the senior leading rider trophy.

A welcome return to the arena for the ebullient Roberto ridden by Jodie Travers saw this pairing win the senior intermediate class.
