JUST 48 hours after winning an historic gold medal, Carl Hester is out to add to his tally this afternoon at Greenwich Park.

After his memorable performance in leading the Great Britain team to gold on Tuesday, the Sark rider is a genuine contender for individual glory today in the Grand Prix Freestyle, a routine performed to music.

The top 18 combinations from Tuesday's Grand Prix Special have qualified for the individual showdown, with the three British team members – Hester, Laura Bechtolsheimer and Charlotte Dujardin – among the last four riders to compete because of their high qualification marks.

Following Tuesday's success, Hester admitted that his protege Dujardin – the new Olympic record holder in both the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Special tests – will be favourite going into the individual.
