BOTH Courtney Butcher and Thomas Hollingsworth set new records in the 100m Individual Medley event of the Specsavers Series staged by the Beau Sejour Barracudas Swimming Club.

Butcher, who continues in brilliant form in the 14/15 age group, knocked over three seconds off the record previously held by Victoria Parfit to touch in 1-07.83, which was also a lifetime best by over a second.

Hollingsworth improved on his own mark, recording the fastest time of the day from the men of 1-00.55 in the 16 and over category.

The girls' 16-and-over winner was Sebina Steininger in 1-17.21.

There was a close tussle in the 12/13 age group with Hannah Rosumek taking first place in 1-17.67 from Victoria Symes, who recorded 1-17.85, with the boys' title in this age group going to good swim by Harry Bushby.
