THE Dressage Championship weekend brought an exciting conclusion to the Guernsey Dressage Group season.

Horse and rider combinations have tried to achieve qualifying scores at various levels throughout the year so that they could compete in the championship classes at the final event of 2012.

It was a very busy but highly enjoyable weekend for the committee, the members and the three judges who travelled from the UK to judge the tests ranging from music classes to unaffiliated tests to affiliated tests.

The music classes were first on the agenda and it was a fantastic start to the weekend for Amy Schiessl and Mr Mercury who attained a score of 65% in the BD Pre St George freestyle to music class.

The novice open class was won by Susie Farnon and Kolosso with 69.2%, second place went to Jenny Rowlinson and Drumhowan Rolex with 68.3%.
