ATTACKING firepower could once again hold the key to Guernsey's progression in the English Hockey Trophy, as they prepare for their latest challenge without two key names.

Both captain Matt Watson (dislocated shoulder) and youngster Andrew Clark (sprained ankle) have been ruled out of Sunday's second-round trip to Purley Walcountians, meaning recalls for Andy Dawson-Ball and Andy Le Page.

Despite having a squad he is confident will cope with those losses, Guernsey player-coach Andy Whalley, pictured, admits that life will not be easy at the team currently top of their league.

'They are a good side and it seems we are always drawing the other teams capable of winning the tournament at the moment,' he said.
