A COMPREHENSIVE 5-0 win over under-strength Hairtek put Barclays in a dominant position for the final round of matches in the Island Team squash League.

Andy Parr and Terry Hodson had routine wins against Alex Robin and Mick Le Noury, both winning 3-0, but Janick and Leigh Radford both had much tougher five-set matches although both came through to win in the tie-break in the decider.

Janick's all action, hardworking style proved just too good for the experienced Geoff Hudson although Radford had to hold his nerve in the final game as Hudson served for the match.

Leigh started well against Karen Millard and won the first two games comfortably, but her opponent fought back to win the third game easily and edge the fourth 15-13 in the tie-break.

The fifth game also went to a tie-break with Radford coming through to win 13-11 and secure the points for Barclays.
