AFTER scoring four times in a dramatic FA Vase turnaround last weekend, Guernsey FC's incredible achievement was noteworthy enough.

But after learning that two of the opponents in Erith Town's back five, goalkeeper Tom Warren and full-back Joe Obersteller, are current higher level players, it makes the feat even more impressive.

The Green Lions trailed Erith 3-0 with 11min. remaining in their second round tie, but scored three times in the dying minutes to force extra-time before winning it in the additional period.

It also turns out that a number of other players also played at steps three or four as recently as last season, before joining a new-look Erith team that has taken the Kent Premier League by storm.
