Dawes returns after his half marathon exploits

AFTER missing the third fixture to concentrate on victory in the Jersey half marathon, Steve Dawes is set to return to the Delancey line-up for this weekend's fourth FNB Cross Country Series event.

Mike Wilesmith's strong performances in the opening events have placed him at the top of the standings, seven points clear of Will Bodkin, but with runners able to discard one race Dawes is still the virtual leader, having won two of the opening three races.

Louise Perrio is leading woman currently lying fourth.

Sarah Mercier leads division two with a strong 10-point lead over Ian Merrien but Nat Whitty, winner of the opening two events is within range.
