GUERNSEY are looking forward to facing the challenges of 2013 with a squad refreshed and hopefully replenished by the Christmas break.

A depleted side went down 50-5 at National Three London & South-East leaders Dorking on Saturday to leave Jordan Reynolds' men eighth in the table going into the new year with a 50% win ratio from their 14 matches so far.

'I cannot take anything away from the guys who went to Dorking. They put in their best,' said the Guernsey coach, who was missing at least 10 squad members at the weekend and was unable to fill the replacements bench.

'No one is to blame really. With the amount of people we have out, travelling over there with a small squad was not ideal and Dorking are a very good side. Their ambition is to go up this season and you could see that.
