DAVE PARROTT led his Rangers side to a shock win at the Corbet Field and proclaimed that the red-and-blacks can win the cup for a second time.

It is three years since Paul Ockleford's side won the trophy in front of the Garenne Stand at Footes Lane, and with the XI they were able to field on Saturday, they cannot be ruled out this year.

Parrott was a pillar of strength in a deep, central midfield position, while Piers Ockleford pulled the strings in front of him and Dale Garland terrorised Vale Rec with his pace up front.

The captain was full of praise for Ockleford, who also scored the goal of the game, a fantastic unstoppable 30-yarder.

  • In the other FA Cup quarter-finals, Bels triumphed over North Elysium 5-0, while North won 3-0 against Rovers.
