A RETURN to league action after the Christmas break saw the Image Group Premier Division favourites notch up another win but it was a far from convincing display.

A largely lacklustre performance from La Villette Hotel Gremlins, in which everyone dropped a frame, was uncomfortable from the start, when Dave Bullock won the opener for Ex-Service Rat Pack by a 52-point margin.

Seb Priaulx, pictured, duly recovered to restrict his opponent to a total of just 13 points in the next two frames, while it was Glenn who won the Le Prevost battle 2-1 against Mick after losing the middle frame on the black.

Dropping the second frame was a pattern to be repeated by both Martyn Desperques and John Skillett.
