A GOOD day for the ‘Indies’.

Hockey's Division One leaders gained their predictable win over bottom side Cenkos Yobbos, then sat back in the warmth of the bar on a bitterly cold afternoon at Footes Lane and watched their two championship rivals fight out a 1-1 draw.

It was probably a fair result too, although for long periods the Casuals dominated through their midfield trio of Damien Wallen, Andy Whalley and Mark Babbe.

But the longer the game wore on the stronger Colombians came into it and but for a quite brilliant raised stick stop by Nick Bachmann on the line late on, it would have been Colombians who would have nicked the points.
