THE kings of indoor cricket survived a massive scare but ultimately Mourant Ozannes A took an early stride towards another indoor cricket crown.

In a much anticipated clash against Boatworks+, it was the men in purple who triumphed, but only just. Batting first, and missing at least three first team players, Mourant Ozannes A were left reeling on a score of -2 runs after the first eight overs.

A wicket in every over and a string of dot balls gave Boatworks+ a huge head start.

But the ever-reliable duo of Dane Mullen and Tom Kirk managed to turn things around for their team as they plundered a colossal 57 runs from their allocation of overs.

Two powerful maximums from Kirk and regular scoring from Mullen left the young Boatworks+ side struggling to understand exactly what they were doing differently.
