GUERNSEY Rugby Club will be in for a battle tomorrow when they belatedly take on Barnes.

Jordan Reynolds' men were due to face the team placed second in National Three London & South-East a fortnight ago, but a frozen pitch led to a postponement.

However, while their hosts have their eyes on top spot, Guernsey are eager to secure their place in the division in their inaugural season at this level.

'I have seen on Twitter that Barnes are talking this one up as a big game for them,' Reynolds said.

'They are a smart team and they realise some of our losses have not been down to our ability but more to a lack of depth in the squad.'
