ALICE LOVERIDGE has secured the first Grand Prix title of her career in superb fashion after a brilliant weekend at the Tees Sport Doncaster Grand Prix.

The 18-year-old Guernsey starlet, pictured, won every match and dropped just a single set throughout, as she won her first senior women's singles title on the English Table Tennis Association's marquee national series.

The tournament finished with an emphatic straight sets win over Emma Vickers in the final, as Loveridge won many of the closely-fought rallies to triumph 11-6, 11-5, 11-9.

Earlier on, Loveridge had qualified through the group stage as second seed for the knockout stages after four successive 3-0 victories, which was far easier than top seed Karina Le Fevre, who progressed only on countback.
