GUERNSEY FC have picked up their first CCL Premier Division win for over 10 weeks – after an incredible conclusion saw them win 7-4 at Croydon last night.

The Green Lions were cruising at both 3-0 and 5-1 up, with star striker Ross Allen netting all five goals by that point, the second time he has achieved that particular feat for the club.

But the hosts came back at the Croydon Arena to make it 5-4, with their own striker Claudio De Almeida grabbing all four, before two late Nigel Hutton goals secured the win for GFC.

It means that GFC have gained three points and a game on all of their league rivals, as every other midweek game was postponed, so coach Tony Vance was a satisfied man – just about.
