A DOMINANT second quarter performance on a bitterly cold Beau Sejour evening ensured that Resolution IT remain very much at the heart of this season’s Division One netball title race.

Having lost to Nerine B last time the two sides met, they were determined to put it right this time around and they did so, that second quarter enabling them to stretch their lead from 11-9 to 23-13 by the end of it.

Verona Tomlin and Kerri Brown accounted for the vast majority of the ‘Rezzers’ goals on the night and despite a fightback from the Nerine youngsters, they had left themselves just too much to do.

The red-and-blacks had pulled it back to 29-24 by the end of the third quarter and for a brief spell at the beginning of the fourth, genuinely looked like they may create a memorable turnaround.
