GOODBYE Combined Counties ... it was nice knowing you.

It will be another nine days before the FA League Committee make public next season's league structures, but the Green Lions will definitely play in a newly-expanded 24-team Ryman South (based in the south-east of England) and not in the Evo-Stick South Division One (the south-west) as has been touted in some quarters.

Mark Le Tissier, a tired and somewhat relieved and happy GFC club secretary, confirmed as much yesterday.

'We have been advised we will be playing in Ryman South,' said Le Tissier (pictured) who added that the Lions had yet to decide which cup competitions they will compete for next season, on top of a 46-match league programme - four more than this year - and, for the first time, the magical FA Cup.
