AFTER more than two months out, the famous clay courts of Roland Garros will provide Heather Watson's comeback arena at next week's French Open.

The Sarnian, who turned 21 on Sunday, has been suffering from glandular fever that, although confirmed only last month, has been affecting her ever since January's Australian Open.

Since then, fatigue played a part in her matches, which have been limited to seven across four tournaments as well as a Fed Cup appearance for Great Britain in Israel, her last appearance coming back on 19 March.

But after a sufficient period of recovery that has seen an extended spell back home in Guernsey, the British number two is almost certain to be in tomorrow's draw for the second Grand Slam of the year.
