GFC pitch pleasure

NEWS of drainage repair work on the Footes Lane pitch has been met favorably by both Guernsey FC's captain and secretary.

Sam Cochrane and Mark Le Tissier were pleasewd to hear that Culture and Leisure are spending £10,000 on maintenance work, after multiple Guernsey FC and two rugby matches were postponed last season.

Meanwhile, Cochrane believes public anger could have been significantly lessened with better communication from the department.

'I find it a bit disappointing that from a Culture and Leisure point of view, they couldn't tell people through social media such as Twitter what is going on,' he said.
