THE fourth round of the DTM at the Lausitzring in eastern Germany was one Andy Priaulx – and the other seven BMW Motorsport drivers – may prefer to forget very quickly.

For the triple world champion, his race was compromised when he was given a drive through penalty for a jump start.

Unfortunately, this negated the six places he picked up on the first lap and meant he was always on the back foot and fighting from way down the field in his Crowne Plaza Hotels BMW M3 DTM.

It was difficult for Priaulx, pictured, to fight back after the drive through at the end of lap five, and he eventually finished last.

He tried his hardest but had to be aware of the other cars battling.
