GUERNSEY success continued on day two of the Guernsey Games 2013 as they claimed half of the individual head-to-head medals on offer at Port Soif.

As expected, Chantelle Goubert romped to victory in the women's recurve, defeating Rose Williamson from the Shetland Islands 6-0 in sets in a one-sided final.

The other Sarnian to reach the top step of the podium was Mike Marquand, who led a home medal sweep in the men's compound, defeating Kieran Kelly 136-124 in the final.

It was the second gold medal in successive days for young Marquand, who defeated team-mate Paul Breban in the semi-final, although Breban picked up the bronze by defeating Dave Moore from the Isle of Man 133-130 in a play-off.
