QUALIFYING for the top-12 run-offs at the National Hill Climb meeting at Le Val des Terres is the pinnacle for most Guernsey racers.

But for Darren Warwick, he would expect it to be the bare minimum, and his results in recent times certainly support that theory.

A best time of 27.88sec. at the end of 2012, as well as a number of other low-27 and high-28 marks make him comfortably the island's fastest-ever man on four wheels.

Those performances also saw him pick up the Guernsey Press Sporting Achievement of the Year Award.
