ABBIE GREENING is the new call-up for Guernsey Panthers ahead of their latest league match, as part of this weekend's nine-player travelling squad.

The teenage shooter is in for the Division Three South trip to basement team CD Phoenix Two, who have shipped 115 points in losing their opening two games heavily.

As for the Panthers, they are looking for their third win in four and to enhance their title credentials by staying at the top of the table, having played a game more than the rest, although there will be a few absentees.

Kerri Brown, Jemma Green, Kristy Webber, Roxanne Wylie, Emma Beavan and Kat Mercer are all missing from the double win over Dreams Two for a variety of reasons.

Despite those changes, some enforced as the squad size was always due to drop from 12 to nine, Panthers coach Denise Bourgaize is not concerned.

'It is all part of rotating our squad and giving as many girls as possible the chance to play at this level and experience it,' she said.
