GUERNSEY head coach Jordan Reynolds admitted it was good to see his team ‘come off with some smiles after a game finally’ following Saturday’s morale-boosting win.

The 39-29 victory away to Bury St Edmunds was just the response Reynolds had been looking for after the last-ditch defeat to Basingstoke at Footes Lane in their previous game.

‘The Basingstoke game was a nightmare, but we really turned things around against Bury St Edmunds, who are a good side and who will do well in this competition,’ he said.

‘We played to our strengths and did well.’
