BELS maintained their unbeaten start to the campaign last night at the Track and, until tonight at least, moved three points clear at the top of the FNB Priaulx League.

Eventually, the champions’ experience and class told against a spirited Sylvans side who got stuck in against their hosts and made the first half in particular very competitive.

However, the visitors were unable to test Rhys Gower on a quiet night for the Bels goalkeeper, while at the other end goals from Ant Austen, Robbie Williams and Craig Young gave the home side their sixth win from nine league games to open a gap at the summit of the table from North who meet Rovers this evening, 7.30pm at Northfield.
