GUERNSEY FC winning at Horsham today is ‘paramount’, but the Green Lions will have to do it with a depleted squad deprived of two of their best players.

Dom Heaume and Angus Mackay have both been ruled out ‘for a number of weeks’ after their injuries sustained in midweek, giving manager Tony Vance something of a headache.

As well as that pair, Jacques Isabelle, Simon Geall and Tom Strawbridge are also sidelined, while Sam Cochrane and Ryan-Zico Black are both unavailable to travel.

It means that there are eight attackers named in the 14-man squad, which has just four defenders in it, as well as just one centre-midfielder in the shape of Kieran Mahon.

A GFC win would see them remain fifth in the table, but they could feasibly drop to eighth in the table, while Horsham could end the day anywhere between 18th and 21st.

Today’s match kicks off at 3pm, with live updates on our Twitter feed @GsyPressSport.
