THE champions have completed their perfect year.

Victory over the Island Under-21s in Legis Division One last night at Beau Sejour saw Panthers finish 2013 with a 100% winning record for the calendar year and the bad news for all their top-flight rivals is that Pat Ogier’s men only look like they are getting better, with the coach warning that he feels like he has ‘a complete team on every area of the floor’.

‘We have a group of guys who just love to play and make my job quite easy,’ said Ogier, but he knows there is still a long way to go if his troops are to defend their crown successfully.

‘LMS have made their intentions clear by putting all their top players in the one team this season – they are out to win the league.

‘Then you have XTFL and with guys like Martin [Yabsley], Jim Rowe and Paul van Beek in their team, they are going to be a threat as well.

‘It is going to be a tough, competitive league, but this was a good way to finish the year,’ he added with a satisfied smile.
