They beat Priaulx League champions Bels 2-1 at the Corbet Field where Simon Tostevin opened the scoring for the chocolate-and-blues before Luke Winch equalised with a free kick.

However, in Scott Bougourd's decisive strike just before half-time, North had a goal worthy of winning any football match.

'The lads worked their socks off all game tonight and deserve every bit of their credit that comes their way,' said North coach William Woodford.

'And the goal to win it showed exactly the way we aim to play our football, so I am delighted.'
