Ferbrache in the runs again as Cobo win

BEN FERBRACHE, the island's leading weekend Premiership batsman, fell just six runs short of another century as Cobo Tigers chalked up another win, this time over 2mi Wanderers, at Port Soif yesterday.

Ferbrache averaged 134 coming into the game and he capitalised on a good wicket and an attack shorn of its strike bowler, Chris van Vliet, to produce arguably the best innings of his career.

His 94, which dominated a fifth-wicket stand of 154 with his skipper Jamie Nussbaumer (55), was the outstanding feature of a 172-run victory and a massive 315 total.
