At the KGV, Ollie Newey starred once again for Next Generation Cobo Tigers as they beat 2mi Wanderers comprehensively by nine wickets with 26.5 overs to spare.

After claiming four for 28 as Wanderers were skittled out for 152, Newey then finished unbeaten on 73 as he shared an unbroken second-wicket stand of 141 with captain Jamie Nussbaumer (60 not out).

Meanwhile, at Port Soif Miton Optimal were indebted to David Hooper, who carried his bat for 96 not out to guide his side to a one-wicket victory over Odey ORs.

With both sides missing several key players, ORs posted 160 batting first with Andy Biggins top scorer with 47 while Max Ellis took five for 20.

Miton slumped to 83 for seven in reply, but Hooper was offered useful support by the lower order to get his side over the line with 11 balls to spare.
