Glasgow has got just about everything pitch perfect in terms of organisation, a claim that was repeated time and again at yesterday's Games press conference hosted by the outgoing CGF chief executive, Mike Hooper, and the new CGF president, Prince Imran of Malaysia.

Hooper said that in terms of preparations Glasgow was 'like chalk and cheese' to Delhi four years earlier.

'It's important we remember why we are here. We're have got a great product and a good heart,' he said.

The press briefing revealed that full stadia were expected throughout the 11 days of competition and that 95% of tickets had been sold to date.
