Bishop's return to offset loss of key men for Rangers

AS THEY prepare for a rare Martinez Cup appearance, Paul Ockleford is looking for Rangers to continue their fine form from last season into the new one.

The red-and-blacks won the Guernsey FA Cup with an excellent 3-1 final victory over Bels at the end of May and that result booked their spot in tonight's 2014-15 season curtain-raiser against the same opposition.

And after also wrapping up a top-three finish in the Priaulx League in the final weeks of a truncated campaign, Rangers manager Ockleford is in confident mood.

He and coach Alfie Le Page will have to do without three key names tonight, though, as Andy Manning and Ben Youlton are unavailable, while Dale Garland has a back injury.

'We have been back in training for three or four weeks now and preparation has been going well in that time,' explained Ockleford.
