Ryan tips balance for Bels

RYAN TIPPETT, the former Tranmere Rover and Muratti star, has wasted no time in showing his worth to Bels.

The champions needed his predatory instincts last night as they sought and gained their first league points of the season with a 3-1 win over Rangers.

It took Tippett just 10 minutes to fire his new side ahead, taking his time before picking out the far corner and beating Jacob Machlowski.

But the severely depleted Rangers came storming back and had threatened a couple of times through the dangerous Aaron Lochhead, before they levelled with a finely worked goal which stemmed from a free-kick won on halfway.

Shane Billien dived to head a splendid goal past Rhys Gower, who had previously denied Lochhead with a fine save.

Bels were soon creating more chances and Joby Bourgaize headed wastefully straight at Machlowski before Tippett restored their lead with a clinical finish from 15 yards.

That was on 63min. and four minutes later McKenzie did the finishing to make the points all but safe.
