GFC back with a bang

AFTER watching Guernsey FC's season roar back into gear at Footes Lane last night, Tony Vance has urged his team to use it as a springboard.

The Green Lions were in blistering attacking form to hammer Three Bridges, as a Ross Allen hat-trick led the way in a superb 8-1 victory.

Braces apiece for Ryan-Zico Black and Marc McGrath were rounded off by a super Luke Winch goal, too, as manager Vance's men scored four in each half.

It moves GFC back up to ninth in Ryman South and just four points off the play-off spots.

And ahead of a visit to East Grinstead Town this weekend, Vance hopes his side can replicate their high performance levels again.

'It was a very good performance from the lads tonight and despite Three Bridges not being great, we were ruthless in front of goal,' he said.

'We must make sure that it isn't just one or two wins and then enter a barren run again, so the challenge is to get a good run of wins going now.'
