Brace for McGrath as GFC beat Horsham
MARC MCGRATH led the way as an excellent GFC leapt back into the Ryman South play-off spots with a 4-2 win at Horsham.
A first-half brace was the pinnacle of an excellent individual performance from GFC's No. 10, as Dom Heaume and Glyn Dyer also chipped in with goals.
It moves McGrath joint-second of the league's golden boot list with eight strikes, level with injured team-mate Ross Allen, both trailing Stuart King of Herne Bay by a single goal.
But more importantly for the Green Lions, it saw them move to fifth in the table and despite having played more games than those around them, it was a good weekend all round. High-flying Corinthian-Casuals, Chipstead and Whitstable Town all lost on their travels, to Herne Bay, Walton & Hersham and Three Bridges respectively.
