Desperques compiles his second century of the season
THE season is barely a month old but Martyn Desperques has already cracked in another century to add to his 125 clearance in the knockouts.
A brilliant effort of 113 came in his second frame of La Villette Hotel Gremlins' match against Slattery Decor in the Gower Financial Services Premier Division, which they won 11-1.
This time it was Dan Marquand on the receiving end and it was a largely untroubled break.
Desperques' 39th ton in competitive matches was under threat when he got too straight on the last black before the colours, meaning a longer-than-wished-for yellow was required. But having made the pot and secured the century on the brown, Desperques afforded himself some exhibition play before missing the final black.
