The Sarnian middleweight, who is now 35, made the bold step to move from the amateur to professional ranks last year and began with a points victory over Steve Spence.

Now, though, he makes the move from fighting a journeyman to taking on a fellow prospect, as 22-year-old Gelder has had only three fights.

'He will be a step up in class, but my training has been going really well and I feel sharp, so I just can't wait to get back into the ring again on Saturday week after a long break,' said Duff.
