The 19-year-old Sarnian and former GFC goalkeeper signed pro forms with the south-west club in the summer, but had previously been only an unused substitute.
But with first-choice keeper Christy Pym on international duty with England's under-20s, Hamon was between the sticks for the trip to Coventry City.
Hamon played all 90 minutes of the Football League Trophy first-round tie at the Ricoh Arena, although the league difference between the two sides showed.
Despite the best efforts of Hamon, his side were defeated 3-1 by the League One outfit.
