Since his return to the blue-and-whites in the summer, McKenzie has proved himself to be a vital addition to the league champions' ranks and here he scored a decisive brace.
Sam Hall had given Rovers the lead just a minute into the second half.
In this new-look competition, it gives last year's finalists the early initiative in Group A, with St Martin's and Manzur kicking off their campaign tonight, while Sylvans have to wait a week.
