Green Lions win on the road
CHARACTER and desire was the bedrock of Guernsey FC's battling 4-3 win at Whitstable Town on Saturday, according to boss Tony Vance.

The Green Lions twice surrendered a lead and fell behind before Marc McGrath netted a late winner.
'When you have that much added time and they are launching the ball in the box you just want the lads to get what they deserve. It would have been heartbreaking if they had equalised,' said Vance.
'It was a really rewarding performance and result. We'll savour it because we have two really tough away games coming up and the wins have been few and far between recently.'
