Rovers take on holders at Port Soif

THEY come up against the holders tomorrow, but Rovers start their Guernsey FA Cup campaign as arguably the favourites to progress from the 'group of death'.

Although none of the Priaulx League's current top four are in Group D, last season's surprise cup winners, Rangers, are and they are joined by Rovers, as well as Elizabeth College.

With the College youngsters reaching the semi-finals themselves before being edged out by Rangers, it would seem like one of the toughest draws possible for Rovers.

But they are currently fifth in the league and still on the outskirts of the title mix, so will fancy their chances of becoming the sole team to guarantee progression.

Their hosting of Rangers is one of five games scheduled for tomorrow, although the weather could well intervene, with Vale Rec and Sylvans the other two top-tier sides due to be in action.

Tomorrow's Guernsey FA Cup fixtures:

Group B: Vale Rec v. St Andrew's FC, 1.30pm, Corbet Field.

Group C: Mercury North v. United FC, 2pm, Northfield.

Group D: Rovers v. Rangers, 1.30pm, Port Soif.

Group E: Old Firm Saints v. Manor Farm Saints, 2pm, Blanche Pierre Lane.

Group F: UCF Sylvans v. Centrals, 1.30pm, St Peter's.
