A draw would have been enough for Rec, but they went far better with braces from Brad Atkinson and Toby Le Ray being supported by single strikes from Seb Skillen and Adam Wakeford.

Things got even worse for Rangers when they had two players sent off.

On Sunday, UCF Sylvans progressed into the quarter-finals of the AG Accounting Services Guernsey FA Cup with a 4-0 win over Geomarine Rovers.

The Priaulx League side had only a solitary goal by half-time against their second-string hosts at Port Soif courtesy of Euan Melrose, who broke the deadlock on 37min.

After the interval, Max Gallienne doubled the lead before Joe Alvarez and Sam Murray made the game safe.
