Watson into last eight at Hobart International
HEATHER WATSON is through to the quarter-finals of the Hobart International after a convincing win over the fifth seed Sloane Stephens today.

The Sarnian defeated the world No. 34, who is ranked 15 places above Watson, 6-3, 6-1 in a little over an hour and will now face ninth seed Roberta Vinci.
Watson had started off her tournament in style in the first round, defeating Magdalena Rybarikova – two places higher in the world rankings – 7-5, 6-1.
There was also success for Watson in her opening doubles match, as she partnered Ajla Tomljanovic to a 5-7, 6-2, 11-9 win in a tie break final set over Monique Adamczak and Olivia Rogowska.
