Watson through to semi-finals in Hobart
HEATHER WATSON has beaten ninth seed Roberta Vinci today to reach the semi-finals of the Hobart International.

The Sarnian overcame her Italian opponent, who is ranked five places higher in the world, 7-6 (7-0), 6-2 in 1hr 43min. at the Domain Tennis Centre in Tasmania to progress to the last four of a WTA singles events for the third time in her career.
British number one Watson will now face eighth seed Alison Riske (WR42), who took little more than an hour today to beat second seed Zarina Diyas 6-3, 6-0, for a place in the final.
