'Pilferers' return for Guernsey

COMING away with any points from their trip to the league leaders tomorrow would be 'massive' for Guernsey, according to director of rugby Jordan Reynolds.

He is confident that will be the case, too, despite Guernsey being 12 places below Bury St Edmunds in National Three London & South-East.

'Bury St Edmunds obviously want to go up and they have put in a lot of recruitment to do so recently, but it means that they will take time to gel and I think this is a good opportunity to have a crack at them,' Reynolds said.

Although Guernsey will be without the services of captain Blair Campbell, who is unavailable, as well as injured duo Matt Thomas and Nick Barton, they are bolstered by the return of both Tom Ceillam and Robin Le Cocq while Greg Smith makes his first start since September.

'Tom's carry counts, his cleaning and his tackle counts have been missed and having him back will shore up a lot of those areas and allows others to concentrate on their roles – plus we have our line-out thrower back,' Reynolds said.

'The combination between Robin and Tom, because of their work-rate and the way they feed off each other, will be fantastic to have in the side.

'They are two definite pilferers who give us extra options.'
