Guernsey's only current professional footballer says he was quick to agree to the deal, which lengthens his original contract, which was due to expire this summer, through to June 2017.

'I got offered a new contract a few weeks ago and it is all signed, so I am looking forward to the future because Exeter is a fantastic club to be at,' said the 19-year-old.

'There are six or seven youngsters involved regularly in the first team squad right now and that shows the faith the club puts in young British players, which is great and almost unheard of these days in professional football.

'I have loved the time I have been here already and signing the new deal is brilliant for me. It is fantastic playing in a great team with some great players.'
