Guernsey FC entering FA Cup again

DESPITE suggesting that withdrawing was a serious option, Guernsey FC have decided to enter the FA Cup and FA Trophy again next season.

Although they will not be formally accepted until the summer, the Green Lions have submitted their applications to enter both knockout competitions ahead of next month's deadline for the 2015-16 campaign.

It will be the third successive campaign that GFC will be in the draws, likely to take place on Friday 3 July, as well as one previous season in the FA Vase.

'Entering these competitions, particularly the FA Cup, is all part of the reason why this club was set up in the first place because it offers our players different opportunities,' said manager Tony Vance.
