NIC POTHAS is hoping to lure talented Hampshire club cricketers here this summer to improve the quality of the Swoffers Premier League.

The island's director of cricket has made the advertisement via the Hampshire Cricket Board for players to travel, all expenses paid by the Guernsey clubs, on the three Sundays there are games this summer.

Although he admits it is still a long way from becoming reality, Pothas explains the reasons why attempting to improve the quality across the four teams is so vital.

'UK club cricket has a different culture and a different ethos, so it would be good for our local players to learn from these guys about how they prepare for and approach their games,' he said.
